GrooveTie Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the GrooveTie platform (“GrooveTie,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By using GrooveTie, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use GrooveTie.

2. GrooveTie Platform Overview

GrooveTie is a localized music platform where artists upload music and fans support artists through monthly subscriptions. GrooveTie does not distribute music to third-party DSPs.

3. Artist Subscriptions

• GrooveTie offers a base Artist Subscription price of $7.99 per month.
• Artists may set a higher subscription price at their discretion but may not go below $7.99.
• GrooveTie receives 15% of all subscription revenue (“Platform Fee”).
• Artists receive the remaining 85% of subscription earnings.

4. Free vs Subscriber-Only Songs

Artists can choose between two upload options:

(A) Public (Free Listening)

• Anyone on GrooveTie can play the song.
• Designed to help fans discover the artist.

(B) Subscriber-Only

• Only paying subscribers can access.
• To unlock this feature, artists must first upload 2–3 public songs to help new fans get familiar with their sound.

5. Payouts

• Artists receive payouts according to GrooveTie’s payout schedule.
• Artists must connect valid banking info via the platform’s payment provider.
• Taxes, fees, and compliance documents may be required.

6. Content Ownership

Artists retain 100% ownership of all uploaded content. GrooveTie does NOT claim ownership.

7. Content License (Non-Exclusive)

By uploading content, the artist grants GrooveTie a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

• host
• store
• stream
• display
• promote
• and deliver content to users

solely within the GrooveTie platform.

GrooveTie does NOT distribute content to DSPs or external partners.

8. Content Restrictions

Artists may not upload content that:

• infringes copyrights, trademarks, or IP rights
• violates any laws
• features hate speech, threats, or explicit illegal activity
• was uploaded without proper rights or permissions

GrooveTie may remove content that violates these guidelines.

9. Account Termination

GrooveTie may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Terms violations
• illegal use
• fraudulent activity
• harassment
• unauthorized distribution

Artists may request account or content removal at any time.

10. Payments & Refunds

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.
• GrooveTie does not issue refunds for partial monthly usage.
• Apple & Google may process payments independently according to their refund policies.

11. Artist Content License Agreement

This Artist Content License Agreement (“Agreement”) applies to all artists using GrooveTie.

12. Location Data & Personalized Experience

GrooveTie uses location information to:

• show nearby artists
• match local content
• recommend events
• personalize user experience
• improve platform features

GrooveTie does not sell or share precise location data with third parties for marketing.

Users can disable location permissions in device settings.

13. Community Guidelines

Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or threats.

14. Platform Changes

GrooveTie may update features, policies, pricing, or terms with notice.

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

GrooveTie is not responsible for:

• losses caused by user actions
• content errors
• downtime
• third-party payment issues
• unauthorized access or breaches not caused by negligence
